Fiscal / policy regime
Government budget posture, spending commitments, policy direction — particularly relevant for sector theses tied to government spending.
Regime monitoring
QJ watches not only what the portfolio holds, but the macro and market conditions that made the decision make sense. When those conditions change materially, the thesis comes back for review — before P&L is the only signal.
Regime dimensions monitored
Government budget posture, spending commitments, policy direction — particularly relevant for sector theses tied to government spending.
Central bank stance, credit spreads, duration sensitivity — for theses with interest rate assumptions embedded.
Market volatility regime, liquidity conditions in relevant instruments — for theses with liquidity assumptions or options-adjacent positions.
Within-sector differentiation, factor behavior, momentum conditions — for theses with sector-relative views.
Regulatory, geopolitical and parliamentary signals — for theses with policy-driven investment cases.
What happens when drift is detected
When a monitored condition drifts materially from the thesis context, QJ surfaces a review recommendation — not an automated action. The recommendation routes into a Decision Packet: here is what the original conditions were, here is what has changed, here are the affected positions, here is whether any falsifiers have triggered. The investment team reviews and decides.
A monitored dimension moves outside the range established at thesis creation.
QJ lists which holdings, watchlists or theses are tied to the changed condition.
A Decision Packet draft surfaces: original thesis, current regime state, impacted positions, falsifier status.
Hold, reduce, add, exit or revise the thesis — with the updated context attached to the record.
Status
The regime engine, falsifier tracking and monitor rules are built. Selected regime dimensions and thesis types are available for preview. Broader coverage across asset classes and regime signal types is on the roadmap.
